There are stories worth telling. Stories that unite an entire family that will spend a let’s say eventful Sunday. Maybe it would be better for them (just kidding) to have a doctor nearby. Because there will be a lot of palpitations.
The family in question is the Esposito family. The one that on Sunday will play out its entire season in just a few hours. All in one evening with three brothers who will be protagonists with their clubs. So, let’s obviously start with the eldest, the one who plays for Spezia, who in Reggio Emilia, with his team, will take the field for the play-off against Verona for staying in the top flight. Salvatore will touch his first ball – should he play from the first minute – at 20:45. A few minutes later his brother, Sebastiano.

The second son, on the other hand, will take the field with Bari, in front of 60,000 spectators at the San Nicola, against Cagliari, for the final of the return leg of the Serie B championship playoff. A former Inter Milan player, he will surely see the Champions League final tomorrow night before diving head and heart into what will be his last engagement of the season.

And finally it will be Francesco Pio’s turn, who, when it is 11pm in Italy, will take the field with Nunziata’s Under 20 national team in the final of the World Cup. He scored with his heel in the quarter-finals, and is definitely a candidate to take a starting jersey. And he will play on the other side of the World Cup, in La Plata, for what will be a historic match for the entire Italian movement, since never before have the Azzurrini reached so high. Two televisions in the Esposito household will be enough, however: since the moment the play-off for A will be concluded – there will be no extra time in the event of a draw but immediately the penalty kicks – the Mameli anthem will be played in Argentina after a few minutes.
