Torino v Inter, Serie A: streaming, bets, predictions

by Martin

Torino-Inter is a Serie A Week 38 match and is played on Saturday at 18:30: lineups, predictions, TV and streaming.

Inter close out their season at home to Torino, a week before the Champions League final with Manchester City, the high point of the Nerazzurri’s 13-year history. For Simone Inzaghi’s men, focused on the most important appointment of the season, the challenge with the granata has no value for the classification purposes.

Lautaro Martinez and his team-mates have already secured one of four Champions League places and are certain to take part in the continent’s most prestigious competition again next season, regardless of how the final act in Istanbul ends. Decisive – apart from the new penalty that Juventus had to reckon with, which rewrote the Serie A standings once again – was last Saturday’s victory over Atalanta, beaten 3-2 at the San Siro. Despite being fresh from their triumph in the Coppa Italia, Inter got off to a flying start and immediately put their backs to the wall. Lukaku and Barella scored two goals in the first three minutes of the game, effectively steering the match. Gian Piero Gasperini’s team tried several times to get back into the game, but a goal from Lautaro in the last quarter of an hour finally sealed the deal.

It’s an away Taurus

The Nerazzurri’s moment of form continues, as they arrive at the appointment on 10th June in confidence but, above all, in great shape. Since the 23rd of April, Inter have only collected victories, with the exception of the irrelevant defeat against Napoli.

Inzaghi, along the lines of a fortnight ago in the Parthenopean away match, will rest almost all the starters, likely fielding a line-up stuffed with reserves. Torino, who are playing for eighth place together with Fiorentina, Monza and Bologna, could take advantage of this. A place that, should Juventus be excluded from European competition, could also become a pass for Europe. Ivan Juric’s granata are masters of their own destiny in this race: they have the same points as Vincenzo Italiano’s Viola, but they have the advantage in the direct clashes. This means that, by beating Inter, they could cross an important finish line, unthinkable at the start of the season. Torino, however, will have to ‘unblock’ at home: last Saturday saw yet another away win, but Rodriguez and his team-mates have not won at home since March.

Torino-Inter: latest line-up news

Juric could confirm the line-up that thrashed Spezia by four goals a week ago. Miranchuk should win the ballot with Karamoh in the back three, while in defence the duel is as usual between Gravillon and Djidji. Radonjic, who has just been joined in the infirmary by former Inter player Lazaro, is out with an adductor problem.

There will be ample turnover for Inzaghi, who plans to rest the starters. D’Ambrosio is not at his best and Skriniar could be back on the bench. In attack, there could be a chance for the young centre forward Curatolo, while in midfield there will be space for the returning Gagliardini.

The prediction

Inter have almost always got the better of Torino in the last seven meetings, ending with six Nerazzurri wins and one draw. In this case, the three points at stake are only needed by the granata, who want to win in the race for eighth place. At home they have been disappointing so far, but against a team stuffed with second lines they should at least avoid defeat in a match with at least one goal on each side.

The probable lineups of Torino-Inter

  • TORINO (3-4-2-1): Milinkovic-Savic; Gravillon, Schuurs, Buongiorno; Singo, Ricci, Ilic, Rodriguez; Miranchuk, Vlasic; Sanabria.
  • INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, de Vrij, Bastoni; Bellanova, Gagliardini, Asllani, Akinsanmiro, Gosens; Dzeko, Curatolo.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-1
