Torino-Cremonese is a friendly and will be played on Friday at 14:30: news, statistics, formations, predictions, live TV and streaming.
It was August and it was still hot when Torino and Cremonese faced each other on the third day of the championship. Ivan Juric’s Granata came out on top in the match that saw the return of Serie A on the pitch of the Zini stadium after more than 20 years. The great protagonists of that match were the two new signings Vlasic and Radonjic: the grigiorossi woke up late, just shortening the distance with Sernicola ten minutes from the end.
The two teams meet again almost four months later, this time in the capital of Piedmont. But the common goal for both is to prepare as well as possible for the imminent return to the field: from 4 January, in fact, it will be back to business. Torino, contrary to what was predicted following the turbulent pre-season – marked by the now famous quarrel between sporting director Vagnati and the Croatian coach – is ninth, sailing in the left-hand side of the standings and is not even far from the Europa zone. Having hastily filed away the difficult period between September and October, the granata team has started to march again and before the break they obtained three important successes against Udinese, Milan and Sampdoria and stopped Roma at the Olimpico.
The upcoming challenges against Verona and Salernitana represent a good test for Juric and his men, who are among the most solid teams in the top flight. In their two friendlies so far, Torino have beaten Espanyol 1-0 and drawn with Almeria (1-1).
Cremonese, on the other hand, are third bottom and already have six points to make up on fourth-last-placed Spezia. Massimiliano Alvini’s grigiorossi have often offered proactive and courageous football, but they are the only ones who have never won a single match. Of little significance, in this sense, are the two overflowing victories in friendly matches against Salsomaggiore (6-0) and Desenzano (7-0).
The Prediction
It goes without saying that the two coaches will care more about the fitness of their players than the result itself. In any case, we expect the usual performance of substance from Torino, who appear to be slightly favoured in this friendly by at least two goals in total.
Torino-Cremonese’s likely line-up
