A week ago everyone was taken aback by the decision of the Rossoverde club to exonerate Cristiano Lucarelli despite a respectable start. The 3-1 defeat against Pisa, the sixth game in a row without a win for Ternana, was fatal for the coach from Livorno. President Bandecchi chose Aurelio Andreazzoli in his place, but the former Roma, Genoa and Empoli coach is likely to need some time to convey his ideas. And in fact his first outing coincided with a defeat: the Umbrians suffered another, again away, this time on the field of Venezia (2-1). The classification, however, remains anything but poor: Partipilo and his team-mates are in the middle of the playoff zone, even if second place has receded considerably after Reggina’s victory in Brescia.
Even more complicated situation in Cagliari, where Fabio Liverani is officially at risk of being fired. The Sardinians are no longer able to win: their last success dates back to 15 October when they got the better of Brescia. Since that match, the Rossoblù have taken a defeat against Ascoli and scored five consecutive draws. Last Saturday, the umpteenth draw against Parma: one goal apiece, with Pavoletti retaking the lead from Camara. Cagliari have found the way of goal for seven games in a row, but for as many they have failed to keep their goal unbroken.

Debut at the “Liberati” for Andreazzoli: the new red-green coach recovers two important pawns like Defendi and Palumbo, but he still has to do without Donnarumma, Favilli and Capuano. Cassata is likely to start from the bench. There are three heavy absentees in Cagliari: the disqualified Nandez joins the injured Mancosu and Rog. Behind the two strikers Lapadula and Luvumbo will act Kourfalidis.
