Reggina v Bari, Serie B: streaming, odds, predictions

by Mike

Reggina-Bari is a Serie B Week 18 match to be played on Saturday at 20:30: odds, predictions, TV and streaming

Until a couple of seasons ago they were fighting for promotion to Serie B, but today Reggina and Bari, having put behind them the dark years of bankruptcy, are two realities of the cadetteria and have all the credentials to make a return to the top flight from which they have been missing for too long. Respectively the second and third best teams in the cadet championship, they are preparing to give life to the most intriguing clash of this eighteenth day.

Pippo Inzaghi’s amaranth have the opportunity to create a gap between second and third place, while hoping to keep nibbling away points at the unstoppable Frosinone. The gap to the ciociari is again four points after the results of the last day. Reggina immediately returned to flirt with victory, defeating Como with a penalty kick converted by Hernani, and immediately cancelled the heavy home defeat in the direct clash with Lazio (0-3) that could well have left its mark, taking advantage of Grosso’s men’s draw against Pisa. Of the pursuers, however, the only one that seems to be keeping up with the Calabrese is Bari, who, thanks to two consecutive successes against Cittadella (0-3) and Modena (4-1), have conquered solitary third place, distancing Geno, Parma and Ternana.

The coach Mignani can smile again: the “biancorossi” have started to win again after a long series of draws and they have also started to score again, despite the absence of the top scorer Walid Cheddira, who is still busy with his Morocco team at the World Cup in Qatar.

Reggina-Bari: the latest line-up news

Inzaghi in defence will have to do without the experienced Gagliolo, who is disqualified. In his place will play Thiago Cionek, paired with the other central player Camporese. Very precious, for the Piacenza coach, the return of Inter’s jewel Fabbian, one of the best in his category in his role. The other ex-Nerazzurri player Obi is unavailable.

Bari’s starting line-up will be similar to the one that took Modena by storm: the novelty could be in midfield, where Mallamo will replace the disqualified Maiello.

The Prediction

Potentially spectacular match between two healthy teams boasting the best attack in the tournament with 29 goals each. It is logical to expect at least one goal from both. Reggina should avoid defeat: Inzaghi’s team boasts the second best home performance.
