Napoli v Torino, Serie A: streaming, odds, predictions

by Mike

Napoli v Torino is a Serie A Week 8 match played on Saturday at 15:00: odds, predictions, TV and streaming.

Serie A kicks off again after the first break for national team commitments and the unknowns, as usual, are many. Luciano Spalletti will be hoping to see the same Napoli side of a fortnight ago, the one that bid farewell to the league with an important victory in the San Siro clash with AC Milan. The Azzurri, despite perhaps being outplayed by the reigning Italian champions, managed to take home three platinum points: a decisive header ten minutes from the final whistle by one of their new signings, Giovanni Simeone, made Giroud’s momentary equaliser in vain after Politano had taken the lead on a penalty kick.

That some of the partenopei players are bursting with health was also confirmed by the various Nations League challenges: among the main protagonists the impregnable Kvaratskhelia with his Georgia, and the ex Sassuolo Raspadori, author of two goals that contributed to the qualification of Roberto Mancini’s Italy to the Nations League Final Four. Napoli’s objective now is to continue their winning streak – they have won five in a row, between the league and the Champions League – and consolidate the top spot they currently occupy together with Atalanta. On the other side there will be a Torino side that has slowed down a bit, collecting three defeats (Atalanta, Inter and Sassuolo) in the last four days, due to an attack that continues to be uninspired, perhaps due to the absence of a first forward. The granata’s start is however positive, as they have the same points as Juve (10).

Napoli-Torino: the latest line-up news

Lukic

In addition to the long-suffering Osimhen, Spalletti also has to do without Politano, who was injured during training with the national team. The former Sassuolo and Inter striker could be out for a few weeks. Napoli will take the field with the standard formation: the only doubt for the Tuscan coach is in attack, where Lozano and Zerbin will play for a shirt. Towards the confirmation of Raspadori at the centre of the trident, with Simeone ready to take over.

The two-week lay-off allowed Juric to recover Miranchuk, Vojovoda and Ricci, but all three will sit on the bench. On the other hand, Pellegri, who returned injured from the Under-21, is injured. On the flanks the coach will give space to Singo and Lazaro, while Linetty and Lukic will play in the middle.

The prediction

Returns from the break can harbour dangers, especially for teams like Napoli who had found some rhythm before the break. Torino, then, resemble the classic ‘spoilsport’ opponent: Juric’s men have some problems in attack, but at the same time they are very organised and are not easily beaten. In short, a demanding match for the Azzurri, who remain slight favourites for the three points. Toro, on the other hand, have not won in Naples since the distant 2009. We believe, however, that the Granata attack can unblock itself after having remained dry for two matches: the total goals, on the afternoon of the ‘Maradona’ will probably be at least two.
