MLS: predictions on the night’s matches

by Michael

MLS, the most important US football league doesn’t stop and is ready to offer new emotions: news and predictions.

All in pursuit of Cincinnati, leading the overall standings for weeks. The MLS leaders return to the pitch in the night, just two days after their resounding 3-0 win over Toronto, and at home to DC United they aim to widen the gap on their rivals.

The club from the US capital comes from two defeats in a row and has only won three times in nine matches in front of their home crowd: it is hard to understand, frankly, why the bookmakers consider them favourites against what is so far the overwhelming favourite of the regular season. The New England Revolution, on the other hand, are expected to secure their third consecutive home win as they host a struggling Toronto side, unable to take home a win for four days now. The hosts are coming off two important victories, in which they scored six goals in total: the chances of repeating themselves against the Canadians are very high. The Columbus Crew, who have an impeccable home record, are also dreaming of a win. Nashville has more quality, but it will not be easy to come out of the Ohio city with points in their pockets. Inter Miami anxiously awaits the arrival of free agents Leo Messi and Sergi Busquets, but for the moment they continue to struggle: Philadelphia could take advantage of the Florida team’s poor form.

The other match predictions

All eyes on the Texas derby between Austin and Houston: the first two matches of the season were won by the Dynamo, but away from home things could change.

The San Jose Earthquakes are determined to continue their home unbeaten streak as they take on Saint Louis City. The California line-up wants to avenge the heavy defeat of March: mission not impossible as the guests are not going through a great moment. On the other hand, those looking for prolific matches can watch Sporting Kansas City-Chicago Fire, Seattle-Orlando, and Charlotte-Montreal. Expect at least three goals overall in the match between Chiellini’s Los Angeles FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps.
