Lyon-Le Havre, Ligue 1: TV, streaming, likely lineups, predictions.

Lyon-Le Havre is a match of the fifth day of Ligue 1 and is played Sunday at 8:45 pm: statistics, probable formations, predictions.

U.S. ownership of Lyon did not want to wait any longer. It only needed four days of Ligue 1 to decide to give Laurent Blanc, who was exonerated during the break for national team commitments, the sack.

The former coach of the transalpine national team paid for his poor start, in which the Gones barely scored a point, the result of a draw in Nice. The straw that broke the camel’s back, however, was the sharp home defeat against Psg (1-4) two weeks ago. The Parisians once again wreaked havoc on a defense that, if we exclude the Nice match, which ended in a scoreless draw, conceded a total of 10 goals. A lot, if we consider that the season has just begun. The new coach has just been made official and he is an old acquaintance for Olympique fans: we are talking about Fabio Grosso, who wore this shirt for two seasons, from 2007 to 2009 – he collected 53 appearances and scored 2 goals – before returning to Italy to Juventus.

The Italian coach is back from his very positive experience at Frosinone, brought back to Serie A at the end of a sensational year, in which promotion arrived well in advance.

Grosso, once the goal was reached, had informed the Ciociara club of his willingness to leave, probably hoping for a call from a more ambitious club. The opportunity he had been waiting for has arrived, but it will not be easy to impose himself in a locker room that has resembled a veritable powder keg for a few years now. The debut will be with newly promoted Le Havre, which so far has more points in the standings than Lyon itself, five. The first success the men led by Slovenian Luka Elsner achieved before the break, overwhelming a team like Lorient, which had not yet lost a match, 3-0.

The prediction

Grosso will not be able to sit on the Lyon bench again for bureaucratic reasons – against Le Havre the team will be led by an interim coach – but we do not know if the change of technical leadership will be enough to lift the fortunes of a club that, despite a squad built for Europe, continues to flounder. Watch out, then, for Le Havre, which has enthusiasm and is fresh off an important victory: it cannot be ruled out that the guests will manage to score at least one goal, repeatedly impeaching the (so far) fragile defense of the Gones.

The probable lineups of Lyon-Le Havre

  • LYON (4-3-3): Lopes; Mata, Diomandé, Caleta-Car, Tagliafico; Caqueret, Akouokou, Tolisso; Nuamah, Lacazette, Cherki.
  • LE HAVRE (5-3-2): Desmas; El-Hajjam, Salmier, Sangante, Lloris, Operi; Kuzyaev, Touré, Kechta; Alioui, Bayo.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 3-2
