Italy-Norway, the official line-ups: prediction of goalscorers, cautioned players and possible shooters in the clash between the Azzurri

A match not to be missed to avoid seeing a dream that could become more and more concrete fade away. Nicolato’s Under 21 team faces Norway with the awareness of having only one available result to avoid depending unpleasantly on the hands (and feet) of others: victory. And it is for this reason that the Azzurri are dressed to the nines, with the technical commissioner deciding to send out the eleven that actually offered the most guarantees. The Pellegrini-Gnonto tandem is confirmed, with Tonali in the box. Here are the choices of the two coaches:

  • ITALY (3-5-2): Carnesecchi; Scalvini, Lovato, Okoli, Bellanova, Rovella, Tonali, Ricci, Parisi; Pellegri, Gnonto.
  • NORWAY (4-4-2): Klaesson, Sebulonsen, Daland, Heggheim, Wolfe; Evjen, Kitolano, Hove, Ceide, Jatta, Botheim.

Italy-Norway, the scorers’ prediction

In a match in which Norway will try to close ranks to expose themselves as little as possible, Gnonto’s resourcefulness and ability to jump man could make the difference in the long run. The Leeds outside forward has shown that he has an edge over others if he is on a good day, so it cannot be ruled out that he will score at least once. However, Gnonto could also act as an assist-man, in which case Pellegrini’s goalscoring option could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Italy-Norway, probable cautions and marksmen

At the centre of many market rumours in recent weeks and increasingly close to a move to Juventus, Parisi has just come back from a fantastic season with the Empoli shirt, thanks to which he earned a permanent starting place. In great form in his first two Precise appearances, Parisi could fire at least one shot into the opponent’s goal, as could Tonali and Bellanova. Watch out for Ceide, who should be able to slip through on the flank and create quite a few headaches for the Azzurri defence: the hypothesis that he will warm Carnesecchi’s gloves at least once is credible. Scalvini, a marksman, is also liked, especially if the contest should eventually settle on situations from free kicks. Yellow card risk for Sebulonsen and Daland.
