Ipswich Town-Manchester City prediction: tris served

by Mike

The crisis seemed to be over after a string of three straight useful results, indeed three wins in a row. But against Brentford, Guardiola’s Manchester City savored again the bitter taste of old problems that effectively took away the chance for the English champion team to repeat.

Two-nil, and then two-two final: with the usual defensive problems that highlighted more of a mental tightness that was lacking for the entire 90minutes. A big problem this, but against Ipswich, a team going through a somewhat so-so moment and which in the weekly round was beaten at home by Brighton, we believe the Citizens can resume the race for a place in the next Champions League. Yes, objectively, it’s not like we can think of anything else.

And since there is no two without three then the trio is practically served: in the last two outings City has won against Ipswich by four to one in both cases. It may not be able to impose itself so widely in today’s match but the three points are definitely within the reach of the Catalan’s team. Who in the meantime is also thinking about the market, as we know, and has put Cambiaso of Juventus in his sights: he may arrive over the next few weeks. But first there are these three points to take. Maybe even with Haaland’s goal, who has just renewed until 2034. Yes yes, it is not a typo.

The Prediction.
City’s outside win in a match of at least three total goals. No two without three.

The likely lineups for Ipswich-Manchester City.
IPSWICH (4-3-3): Walton; Woolfenden, Godfrey, Greaves; O’Shea, Cajuste, Morsy, Davis; Hutchinson, Delap, Philogene.
MANCHESTER CITY (4-2-3-1): Ortega; Lewis, Akanji, Ake, Gvardiol; Kovacic, Gundogan; Foden, De Bruyne, Doku; Haaland.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-3
