Entella-Pescara is a match valid for the return leg of the second round of the Serie C playoffs and is played on Wednesday at 20:30: TV, formations, predictions.
Of the four first leg matches scheduled for last Saturday, the challenge between Pescara and Entella is the one that has undoubtedly reserved the most emotions. After all, when you have a team coached by Zdenek Zeman on the pitch you certainly can’t get bored
It was the men led by the Bohemian coach who came out on top, overcoming the Ligurians (2-1) in a match in which everything happened. And thus earning the chance to play for two results out of three in Chiavari. Pescara had the merit of not disuniting after a first half almost entirely of the biancoceleste brand: Entella, absolute masters of the field in the first half, took the lead after only eight minutes with a goal by Corbari. Before momentarily returning to the locker room, Pescara had a great chance to level the score but Lescano missed the penalty kick awarded by referee Galipo. In the second half the music changed: the Abruzzese took the lead, first equalising with Merola and then finally turning it around with the newly-entered Aloi, a move Zeman had made. The final assault by Gennaro Volpe’s team was unsuccessful, despite Pescara’s numerical inferiority due to Lescano’s expulsion (an evening to forget for the Argentine striker).
Pescara, let’s remember, would qualify for the Final Four even with a draw. Entella, on the other hand, are forced to win: being top of the table, it will be enough for them to win by just one goal to send the Abruzzi side home and advance to the semi-finals (whoever goes through will face the winner between Crotone and Foggia). Volpe, however, will have to deal with a number of disqualified players: Sadiki, Ramirez and Siatounis. Nothing to do instead for Morosini and Chiosa. In Pescara, in addition to Mesik, the disqualified Lescano is absent.
The Prediction
Entella are called upon to make a comeback as they did in the previous round against Braglia’s Gubbio: the Ligurians, despite the defeat in the first leg, have given a good feeling and are favourites. Another eventful match is looming, this time with at least one goal on each side. The challenge is likely to be unblocked already in the first half
