Eliteserien, the 13th day of the Norwegian top league is completed. All chasing Bodo: news and predictions.
Bodo/Glimt are still leading the Norwegian league table, but two consecutive missteps against Stromgodset (2-0) and Molde (2-2) have allowed the Gialloneri’s pursuers to close the gap that existed until a few weeks ago.
Kjetil Knudsen’s team, if we exclude the national cup victory against Tromso, have not won for almost a month. The advantage over the second-placed team is still considerable – after the Viking success they are now six points clear of second place – but the time has come for Bodo to break this fast. It will not be easy, however, to take the three points from Odd, who have only conceded two goals in five matches in front of their home crowd. It will be curious to see how the tight defence of the hosts will fare against the most prolific attack in the league, which has rarely scored less than two goals per game: we assume, in any case, an eventful match. Rosenborg should also return to scoring, after two defeats in a row that have worsened their situation in the standings: Lillestrom, who currently have four points more than the black and white team, will be on the scene in Trondheim. Stabaek will also try to turn the tide at another team in difficulty, Sandefjord: the last day was one to forget for the red-blue, overwhelmed 6-1 by Sarpsborg.
Eliteserien, predictions for other matches
Sarpsborg are one of the teams in the best form, and the match against Stromsgodset, who have won their last three matches without conceding a goal, promises to be a spectacular one.
Molde players
Tromso, third in the standings behind Bodo/Glimt and Viking, are on the hunt for yet another success. Gaute Helstrup’s men have not lost in the league since May, and on matchday 13 they are expected to win again against Valerenga, who have lost seven times in 11 matches and are floating above the relegation zone. Reigning champions Molde are slowly moving up the standings, forcing a draw (2-2) at Bodo a week ago: a win within their grasp in their clash with newly promoted Brann.
