Cremonese-Cittadella is a match valid for the Italian Cup round of 16 and is played on Tuesday at 3:00 pm: formations, predictions, TV and streaming.
The Coppa Italia pits Cremonese and Cittadella against each other again, just three days after the league match, which ended 2-1 to the Lombardi. The cup match, however, will be played on opposite fields, and therefore at the “Zini” in Cremona. Last Friday the team was beaten by Giovanni Stroppa’s grigiorossi, but it was not at all easy to get right the granata formation, coached by Edoardo Gorini.
It all happened in the last quarter of an hour: Cremonese took the lead with Ravanelli but was immediately reeled in by Cittadella with Vita; the decisive goal, which bore the signature of “Mudo” Vazquez, the guests scored it in the midst of the recovery, giving the former Monza coach, who took over a few weeks ago from the exonerated Ballardini, three fundamental points. Grigiorossi, therefore, continue to go strong on the road – their third consecutive win away from home after those with Cosenza and Como – while at home their performance is leaving something to be desired: it is no coincidence that Cremonese’s only home success came in the Coppa Italia, when last August the Lombardi got the better of Crotone in extra time.
Last season the cup gave one of the very few satisfactions to Cremonese, who against all odds made it to the semifinals after eliminating Roma and Napoli. A ride that made the immediate relegation to the cadetteria less bitter.

Cittadella, on the other hand, in the first round had taken the illustrious scamp of Empoli, a team that plays in Serie A, by defeating the “Castellani” 2-1. In the league, however, Gorini’s men are going slowly: in the last two games they lost to Pisa and Cremonese, and the defense has always conceded at least one goal since the derby with Venezia last September 3.
The Prediction
Predicted a large turnover by the two coaches, who prioritize the upcoming league matches. Cremonese can count on higher-quality second lines than Cittadella and thus start as favorites: at least two goals overall are expected.
