Casemiro like Ronaldo: Manchester United fans go wild on social media

Casemiro like Ronaldo, but not Cristiano: Manchester United fans aren’t letting him have it and are going wild on social media

There are players and players. Men and men. There are categories, if we want to quote Massimiliano Allegri. Yes, everywhere is like that, we know that, there is no doubt about that. And even professionals sometimes, the real ones, those who have won everything during their careers, very often let themselves go.

And this is the case of Brazilian Casemiro, who turned up at his team meeting certainly not in top form. A few extra kilos after the holiday, which didn’t please United fans despite the fact that the former Real Madrid midfielder was one of the best last season: instrumental in achieving Champions League qualification again. But at certain levels, as we know, nobody forgives you anything, not even if you are Casemiro. And on social media there were plenty of comments putting him in the crosshairs. Someone even compared him to Ronaldo, not Cristiano, he is practically impossible to put on an extra kilo. But to his compatriot, the Fenomeno, who very often showed up overweight at his clubs’ training camps.

Casemiro like Ronaldo, United fans comment as follows

“He seems to have really enjoyed his holidays,” someone explained. “Looks like he had a great summer” wrote someone else. While many others defended him a little, trying to explain that a holiday is a holiday, and with all the money you have, you can eat what you want and not think too much about going back to work.

Not bad then for Casemiro, who is called upon this year to repeat an excellent season like the one that ended a short while ago. Perhaps by getting fit again soon as United coach Ten Hag kept him out of the squad for the tour. It’s fine that he arrived later as he was busy with his own national team, but had he been fit, surely the Dutch coach would have brought him along. But he is not. So at home, sweating it out alone.
