Bari-Venezia is a Serie B Week 27 match and is played on Wednesday at 20:30: odds, predictions, TV and streaming
The direct promotion dream is more alive than ever at home to Bari, and enthusiasm has grown exponentially following their third win in the last four matches, allowing them to keep their distance from second place intact. Right now Michele Mignani’s Biancorossi seem to be Genoa’s main antagonists
Cheddira and his team-mates took advantage of Reggina’s mini-crisis to overtake the Amaranthos in third place and move to within -3 of Gilardino’s Rossoblù, who, if the Serie A championship ended now, would be promoted directly to Serie A alongside Frosinone. However, in order to keep up with the Ligurians, Bari have to improve their home performance: in front of their own public the Galletti have won only 18 points in 13 matches, a miserable haul if we compare it with the away one, where instead Mignani’s team has no equal. Seven wins, four draws and two defeats: nobody has scored more points than Bari away from home. Since the championship resumed after the Christmas break, at the San Nicola the Biancorossa have only won against Parma and Cosenza.
It will be a good test against a resurgent Venezia, who are trying to leave the dangerous areas of the standings. The Vanoli cure is working, the lagunari have not lost for five rounds and in the last two they have come out unscathed against more quoted opponents such as Pisa and Cagliari, both stopped on a draw. Like Bari, they have done better away so far.
Bari-Venezia: the latest line-up news
Two heavy absences for Mignani, who answer to the names of Folorunsho (injured) and Maita (disqualified). Otherwise, the coach’s only doubt is in midfield, where there is room for one between Benali and Mallamo: the former Crotone man is slightly favoured.
Busio
Vanoli is without Hristov, but Jajalo, Modolo and Redan will also be missing. In defence there is Ceppitelli, while Tessmann will take the former Udinese player’s place in the rearguard.
The prediction
It’s true, it’s a different Bari at home. But the “biancorossi” appeared in great form against Brescia and are unlikely to be surprised by Venezia, a team that could nevertheless cause them some headaches. Both should score on at least one occasion.
