Osasuna-Granada is a match valid for the tenth day of La Liga and is played Friday at 9 p.m.: lineups, predictions, TV and streaming.
The major European leagues restart and La Liga also restarts with the advance between Osasuna and Granada, two teams currently stationed in the right side of the standings. The Pamplona club occupies 12th place, has scored 10 points in nine days and is equidistant from both the European and relegation zones.
Between the surprises of last season, which ended with a historic qualification for a European cup, the Conference League, the Navarri had to overcome the trauma of elimination in the preliminaries of the third continental event: Jagoba Arrasate’s team had to surrender to the more experienced Club Brugge. The European flop ended up affecting the first few days of the league as well: from September onward, Osasuna won only one game out of six, barely scraping together four points in the same time frame. After breaking their fast of victories with success at home to newly promoted Alaves, Arrasate and his boys were literally blown away by Real Madrid (4-0) at the Nuevo Bernabeu.
Back in the top flight after only one year of purgatory, Granada seems to be over the rough patch: they are coming off three consecutive draws.
The Andalusians, currently penultimate in the standings with 6 points, after stopping Betis and Almeria on the last day snatched a point against Barcelona, forced to recover a double disadvantage. Great protagonist was the young talent Bryan Zaragoza, rewarded by Spanish coach de la Fuente with a call-up to the national team.
The prediction
We expect a reaction from the hosts after the Madrid debacle: it is highly likely that Osasuna will at least avoid defeat. Watch out, however, for a Granada that is slightly on the rise but still conceding too many goals: a wake-up call for a team that must aim to maintain its category.
