Maiorca-Barcelona is a match on the seventh day of the Spanish La Liga: here’s where to watch it, the probable formations and the prediction
MAIORCA – BARCELONA | Saturday 9pm
After the draw on the first day, Barcelona have won them all. Only conceding one goal in this first part of the season and scoring eighteen. Best defence and best attack for the team coached by Xavi who, in all, is second in the standings behind Real Madrid who have won them all. Saturday night’s occasion, however, is a very important one for the Catalans, who want to put pressure on their all-time rivals by winning at home to a Mallorca side currently in a quiet league position. Forcing the Blancos into error, that is the objective of president Laporta’s men, who have no intention, quite rightly, of letting up.
Maiorca beat Almeria at home before the break: three heavy points, of course, which put the hosts in a decidedly quiet league position. Now, as salvation, or any other objective, does not come from games like this, a Barcelona victory seems decidedly easy and written.
The Prediction
In a match that should give at least three goals in total, Barcelona should take the game and the three points without any particular problems. Xavi’s men want to keep winning and they have what it takes to force their way back to the top of the standings at least for one night while waiting for Real Madrid’s commitment.
