West Ham-Bournemouth, Premier League: odds, predictions

by Sabrina

West Ham-Bournemouth is a match valid for the thirteenth day of the Premier League and is played on Monday at 21:00: predictions, TV, streaming.

The final result of the match at Anfield Road, in the last midweek round of the Premier League, does absolutely no justice to the performance offered by West Ham, who deserved to return from the prohibitive – on paper – away match in Liverpool with at least a point in their pocket. The Hammers lost narrowly 1-0 to Jurgen Klopp’s Reds but, after going into a disadvantage almost immediately, they missed a penalty kick with Bowen and came up against an Alisson who parried everything. The growth from the point of view of the game compared to the first days is undeniable but now more than ever David Moyes’ men need to get back to scoring points. The classification, in fact, is not at all comforting. West Ham are now fourth to last, two points from the relegation zone, and the risk is that they will remain too far behind in the race for Europe, missing out on access to the European cups. To go back up the slope the Scottish coach must find the attack: so far only Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest have scored less.

In London, before the Conference League match with Silkeborg, comes Bournemouth, back from the first defeat of the O’Neil management. Last Wednesday the Cherries broke their streak of six consecutive useful results by losing at home to Southampton, who got the better of them by the narrowest of margins. Bournemouth surprisingly turn up at London Stadium with two points more than West Ham but the difference in values is stark.

The Prediction

A West Ham side that appeared to be on the up should not miss out on the three points in the post-match against Bournemouth. Even without Paqueta, whose injury is less serious than expected, we assume a Hammers victory in a match in which the hosts are also likely to keep their goals unbroken.

The West Ham-Bournemouth line-up probables

  • WEST HAM (4-4-2): Fabianski; Coufal, Zouma, Kehrer, Cresswell; Bowen, Rice, Soucek, Fornals; Antonio, Scamacca.
  • BOURNEMOUTH (4-4-2): Neto; Smith, Mepham, Senesi, Fredericks; Christie, Cook, Lerma, Tavernier; Billing, Solanke.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-0
