Udinese-Torino is a match valid for the twenty-ninth day of Serie A and is played on Saturday at 3 p.m.: odds, predictions, live TV, streaming.
Europe will probably continue to be a mirage for Torino, after the last day being overtaken by Monza and slipping back to the right side of the standings. Ivan Juric’s granata have missed several chances to get back in the running for a place in the next European cups, and since February they have only managed to get the better of Lecce in front of their own public.
In the last four games Rodriguez and his teammates have faced teams ahead of them in the standings (Lazio, Roma, Fiorentina and Napoli) winning only two points, the result of two draws with the Viola (0-0) and the Azzurri (1-1). At the “Maradona” Torino played a good match on the whole, keeping Napoli in check and almost immediately replying to the Parthenopean lead with a splendid backhand by Sanabria.
The roster of the granata formation, however, is not enough to get out of the anonymous zone of the standings and aim for a more prestigious goal. Also full of pitfalls is the Udine trip, against a team galvanized by its success against Lazio at the Olimpico, beaten 2-1 last Monday. Gabriele Cioffi’s men confirmed their outside vocation – of the four victories so far, three of them have come away from home (Milan, Juve and Lazio) – and, more importantly, moved to +3 on the relegation zone.
Udinese-Torino: the latest lineup news
Cioffi without long-suffering players Ebosse and Deulofeu but will also miss the disqualified Perez. Walace will be seen again in the middle of the field: Zarraga, author of one of the two goals against Lazio, returns to the bench and another bench for Samardzic looms. Up front Thauvin will support Lucca, while Pereyra will set up on the right lane.
Various absentees for Juric: Ilic and Tameze were also injured recently and will not return until April. In defense, Sazonov more than Lovato, while Rodriguez could be employed at full-back in the 3-4-1-2.
The Prediction
No one has recorded more draws so far than Udinese and Torino, who have collected 15 and 11, respectively, in this league. For the granata it is perhaps one of the last chances to get back in the race for Europe, the friulani on the other hand despite the victory at the Olimpico cannot sleep soundly. It cannot be ruled out that the two teams, as in the first leg, will divide the stakes again. We do not expect a spectacular match: in the last four previous matches only once have the total goals been more than two.
