Udinese-Lazio, Serie A: TV, streaming, odds, prediction

by Martin

Udinese-Lazio is a match in the second day of Serie A and is played on Saturday at 6:30pm: odds, prediction, live TV and streaming.

One of the four teams left with full points after the first day of Serie A is Lazio, on three points along with Atalanta, Verona and Juventus. Marco Baroni’s team did not disunite after conceding Venetian Andersen’s goal after just 3 minutes of play and reacted almost immediately, showing determination and character: first Castellanos’ immediate equalizer, then Zaccagni’s penalty and finally Altare’s own goal that sealed the game for good (3-1) and extinguished Venezia’s hopes.

While waiting to see if other reinforcements will arrive from the market – after the former Salernitana Dia, midfielder Folorunsho, Baroni’s pupil in Verona and who grew up right in Lazio’s youth academy, could also land in the capital – for the biancocelesti comes another important test, the one at the Bluenergy Stadium against Udinese. The Friulani on their debut managed to avoid defeat at home to Bologna (1-1), resisting the Emilian’s drumming attacks and finding the equalizing goal with defender Giannetti just a handful of minutes after the Felsineo advantage signed by Orsolini (for the record, the bianconero Thauvin shortly before had also missed a penalty kick). He can be satisfied with Udinese coach Kosta Runjaic, whose goal is obviously to do better than last year, and that is to win salvation as soon as possible, avoiding any tribulation. Udinese are going for their third useful result, having debuted with a roaring 4-0 win in the Coppa Italia against a Serie C side, Avellino.

Udinese-Lazio: latest lineup news

In Udinese, Chilean Sanchez, who returned to Friuli after more than a decade in this market, was stopped immediately. The former Inter player suffered a bruised injury and will have to be out for more than a month. As in Bologna, Brenner and Thauvin will support the lone Lucca forward: Runjaic’s dilemma is in midfield, where Karlstrom has a slight advantage over Lovric.

On the other side, Baroni is likely to confirm the lineup that faced Venice: the only change is in midfield, with Vecino having a slight advantage over Rovella. Nuno Tavares should sit at least on the bench, still unavailable instead defender Gila. Up front Noslin, Castellanos and Zaccagni.

The prediction

Lazio hasn’t lost in Friuli since the 2012-13 season and this time, too, it should be able to return from Udine with points in its pocket. The nice win against Venezia is not enough to make definitive judgments but, especially offensively, the biancocelesti have shown that they are fine. Udinese will not roll out the red carpet, and that is why we imagine an enjoyable match, with at least one goal on each side.
