Udinese-Inter: video with highlights and highlights of the Monday, April 8, 2024 Serie A evening match, with moviola episodes and report cards.
After the victory against Empoli, Inter are looking for another 3 points away against Udinese to move ever closer to the mathematical certainty of the Scudetto. The Friulians, on the other hand, are called upon to distance themselves from the hot zone, to keep Verona and Cagliari behind and not risk relegation.
Inzaghi, who has had to do without many men due to injury in recent weeks, saw Arnautovic, de Vrij and Sommer (who was kept on the bench in the match against Udinese) return to the group this week. For Cioffi there are important absences, especially in attack. So as a forward there is Thauvin, with wildcard Pereyra in support.
For Udinese, Samardzic also returns to the field. Then there are Ehizibue and Kamara on the outsides. Inzaghi relies on the Lautaro pair. There are Dumfries on the right and Carlos Augusto in defense in place of Bastoni. Arnautovic returns to the bench.
Highlights of the challenge
The Nerazzurri attack immediately, especially on the left. In the first minutes they tried first with Dumfries, rebounded, and then with Lautaro, whose header sent out. The Bianconeri’s first shot is by Pereyra at 13′: the ball ends up far from the goal. On 21′, Calhanoglu tries from outside the box, the shot is angled, but Okoye deflects it into the corner. About 10 minutes pass and the Turk tries again, finding another good response from the Udinese goalkeeper.
In the 40′ Udinese took the lead by catching Inter by surprise: Samardzic invented the shot that, thanks to a Carlos Augusto deflection, surprised Sommer. Two minutes later Okoye saves on Lautaro’s safe header.
On 48′ a goal is disallowed for offside to Carlos Augusto. Then comes a penalty for the Nerazzurri at 54′. Calhanoglu converts. At 70′, newcomer Frattesi squanders an excellent chance by sending it high. Again Frattesi, five minutes later, receives poorly from Thuram in the box and shoots out. Buchanan enters, and in the 82nd minute, a safe shot centers Arnautovic. Frattesi himself scored Inter’s second goal in the 94′ after a Lautaro post.

NOTE: Admonished: 78′, Pereryra; 91′, Pavard; 92′, Lautaro; Recovery: 7′
The best player on the field is Okoye: his is an incredible game, especially in the first half, when he practically stops Inter alone (7.5). On the other side Sommer sleeps when he could easily intervene (5.5). Dumfries is also bad in Inter: the Dutchman plays listlessly and leads actions haphazardly (5.5).
Calhanoglu is the only one who puts ideas and strength into Nerazzurri plays (7). The entire Inter attack disappoints, but the worst is Thuram (5.5). Frattesi enters with a desire to make an impact and does so in extremis (7).
Moviola and highlights of the match
The referee cancels a goal to Carlos Augusto early in the second half for offside, but there appears to be an unmarked arm touch in the action. On the penalty awarded to Inter, the contact is minimal, but refers back to the meter already adopted by referees in similar cases. The doubts are many.
