Torino-Como, Serie A: tv, streaming, probable formations, prediction

by Martin

Torino-Como is a match of the ninth day of Serie A and is played on Friday at 8:45 pm: stats, news, probable formations, prediction, live TV, streaming.

“Damn break,” one would exclaim seeing the results recorded by Torino and Como after the break for national team commitments. Badly the granata, which last Sunday were remounted by Cagliari (3-2) and cashed another defeat, the third consecutive in the league (they are 4 if we also consider the Italian Cup knockout with Empoli). But Como did not shine either: the newly-promoted side, which two three weeks ago had put fear into Antonio Conte’s Napoli by dominating at the “Maradona” for a time, did not go beyond a draw with Parma, with the talented Nico Paz – first goal in Serie A – answering Bonny (1-1).

Either way, there is no need for drama. In the standings, in fact, Como has three points more than the third-last and has proven to have a proven game, in some ways even too ambitious for a newly promoted team. Paolo Vanoli’s team, on the other hand, can afford to “live off their earnings” after their excellent start and at the moment they are not far from the Europe zone (ninth on 11 points). Torino’s problem mainly concerns an attack that has lost its main point of reference as well as its top scorer: the Colombian Zapata, whose injury suffered at San Siro against Inter will prevent him from returning this season. The defense, however, is also showing worrying signs of failure, conceding nine goals in the last 3 games against Lazio, Inter and Cagliari (among the top 10 it is the one that has conceded the most goals, as many as 14).

Torino-Como: the latest lineup news

There are four unavailable players in Torino: from the long-suffering Schuurs and Zapata, to Ilic and Sosa, who are expected to return at the end of November. The only change from Cagliari could be in defense, where Maripan could take Masina’s place. Behind the forwards Adams and Sanabia will act again the Scot Adams.

It will also change little Fabregas, who will have to do without Van der Brempt, who came off injured from the challenge against Parma. Sergi Roberto is also at risk of turnover, tailed by Braunoder.

The Prediction

Torino hasn’t won in over a month, and in the last three matches featuring the granata, the total goals have never been less than 5. Probable, then, that the granata defense will struggle even against a Como side that has never been out of goals in the last five matches. We predict a match of at least three total goals.

The probable lineups of Torino-Como

TORINO (3-4-1-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Walukiewicz, Maripan, Coco; Lazaro, Ricci, Linetty, Vojvoda; Vlasic; Adams, Sanabria.
COMO (4-2-3-1): Audero; Iovine, Dossena, Kempf, Moreno; Sergi Roberto, Perrone; Strefezza, Nico Paz, Fadera; Cutrone.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 2-2
