Seven days ago, in the first leg match, Bari failed to take advantage of the field factor and had to settle for a draw (1-1) with Ternana. The momentum of the 33,000 at the San Nicola was not enough to allow Federico Giampaolo’s men to bring home a valuable success, which would have allowed the Galletti to play for two out of three results in the return match.
The Rossoverdi, in fact, would be saved even by doing the same result as in the first leg thanks to the better placement in the standings. In case of a further draw, there will be no overtime, but the difference will be made by the two more points collected by Fere in the regular season. Bari therefore forced to win on Umbrian soil to avert a relegation that would make a lot of noise. And that would inevitably widen the rift between the company and the fans, already at loggerheads for some time. The Biancorossi will certainly have to be more incisive than in the San Nicola challenge and capitalize on those few chances that Ternana will concede. Roberto Breda’s team actually in the first round never gave up attacking, appearing several times in front of Pissardo’s goal and even missing a penalty with Casasola. It then took care of former Cagliari man Pereiro to remove the chestnuts from the fire in the final, retaking the Galletti who had gone ahead with the usual Nasti at the beginning of the second half.

Ternana’s attack will again be led by Distefano and Pereiro, with Amatucci at the direction supported by Luperini and Faticanti. Always very long, however, the list of unavailable for the coach of Fere: have worked apart Capuano, Marginean and Pyyhtia, not recovering instead Sgarbi, Favilli and Zuberek.
Little will also change for Giampaolo, who in front there will rely on the “hottest” man, Nasti, who will again be joined by Sibilli. More bench for Morachioli.

Bari is no longer in a condition to make calculations: it will have to attack from the first minute, taking some risks. Reason why we expect a more eventful match than the one seven days ago and that could turn on in the second half. In all likelihood both will score on at least one occasion. Ternana remains slight favorites.
