Starting tomorrow, it’s time to get serious. Starting tomorrow, it’s on the court to win the tournament. The Australian Open is at the starting tape, and Jannik Sinner, world number one, is ready to defend that title he won last year. Difficult, for so many reasons that over the course of these weeks we have explained to you, but not impossible, because we all know, and we have seen, how strong the Blue is.
The draw, it must be said, was favorable. Although there are many fans of the azure who have already figured out-or at least these are everyone’s predictions-how it might turn out. Indeed, on the horizon would be an unprecedented final for a Slam, one that could be really tough. But let’s go over in detail, in a nutshell, what could happen in the next two weeks.

In his own side of the draw, Jannik Sinner drew Taylor Fritz, number 4 seed, and Daniil Medvedev, number 5: they are currently the most accredited opponents for a semifinal that, objectively from what we saw last year, can in no way scare the Italian.
But on the other side are Novak Djokovic, the number 7 seed and Carlos Alcaraz, the number 3 seed, along with Alexander Zverev, the German, number 2, was the one who also said that the Australian Open will have a new king. The final, then, could deliver a very dangerous crossroads, especially, dare we say it, if the Spaniard, someone against whom Sinner has always had a bit of trouble, were to get there. And that’s why Italian fans are a bit frightened by the idea: facing Alcaraz, in the final, could be a real problem for the Italian. But we know, to be the strongest in the world you have to face everybody and you have to beat everybody. But this year, because of the pressures that will be there, it’s more difficult than you might think.
