Sinner, no one is able to resist the charms of the San Candido native tennis player anymore: here cat’s in the bag, she’s “fallen for it” too.
To say that it is an incredibly positive period, for Italian tennis, would be reductive. This expression does not give a good idea, in fact, in how much and what satisfaction the Italian tennis players are giving their supporters. And we are not referring only to Jannik Sinner, whose successes are now known throughout the galaxy.
In the Atp as well as in the Wta, there are thoroughbred Italians who are doing crazy things and who, with their feats, are taking the name of the Bel Paese higher and higher. Think of Jasmine Paolini, for example, who has made great strides and is able, now, to undermine even colleagues who, until some time ago, would not have been within her reach.
The champion from Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is now, think about it, 13th in the Wta ranking, as well as seventh in the Race, the ranking that will determine, at the end of the season, which tennis players will deserve access to the Finals. She, too, in short, is one step away from the dream of breaking into the top ten and raising to the sky, who knows, even more prestigious trophies than those she has secured so far. And Jasmine too, like her friend Jannik, has a dream in her drawer that, if all goes as it should, could come true very soon.
All Crazy for Sinner: Jasmine Paolini and that dream in the drawer
The Paris Games are now on the horizon, and it is normal that the tennis players who will take part are already projected, in part, toward the highlight of this so far extraordinary season.
“I expect a crazy emotion – Paolini had said a few days ago about her participation in the Olympics – already watching the ceremony on TV almost moved me. For me it is the sporting event par excellence.” In Madrid, however, press representatives wanted her to be a tad more specific.
That is, Ubitennis asked her whether the prospect of playing mixed doubles with Jannik Sinner would entice her and whether they had already agreed, possibly, to take the court together. “I would love to – these are the words of the Tuscan tennis player – We will see a little how it will go and what our goals will be.” Will new sporting passions explode in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, in the city par excellence of love? We will find out soon enough. Or, at any rate, as soon as the people involved will release their reservations about their intentions.
