Sinner doping case, sudden verdict: “I don’t like it”

by Sabrina

Doping case: Sinner continues to win but remains the sword of Damocles of the Lausanne Tas verdict after Wada appeal. His comment

At the moment there are no stronger players on the planet than him; Jannik Sinner, even in Turin, proved that he is the best of all. He plays a different sport than his peers. And he does it with a naturalness that has rarely been seen.

Even Ruud, for example, after losing the semifinals, crowned him, “I hope I don’t meet him for the next three years,” he said, proving that Sinner is an athlete who is currently unplayable for everyone. And he plays so well despite the fact that, as we know, the possibility of disqualification still hangs over him: if the Tas in Lausanne should then accept Wada’s appeal then things could change again. No one wants this, not even his colleagues who know very well what are the qualities both on and off the field of a champion who, at the moment, is definitely aiming to become one of the strongest Italians of all time. The best sportsman ever: the qualities are there for all to see.

Doping case, Sinner responds this way

These days Jannik is busy in Turin, and in one of the press conferences of course he was asked, precisely, for his thoughts on this appeal that is still standing. His answer was sharp.

“I’ve been in this position before, I’ve had three hearings already, so I’m used to these things. Obviously I don’t like being in this position but I’ll keep working and we’ll see what comes out of it.” Net and concise, without going into too much detail. Surely he knew that someone would ask him something and together with his staff he decided to answer like this. Right not to give breath to other words that could be interpreted in a thousand ways, better to go straight to the point to close, in fact, the question. Waiting to win more trophies and prove, if ever there was a need, who really is number one. Ah, finally: after his victory in the semifinal against Ruud Sinner he is sure to remain number one in the world even after the Australian Open scheduled for January.
