Jannik Sinner, impossible not to notice: everyone got it.
He could have made completely different choices, Jannik Sinner. And if he had made them we would not have one of our compatriots at the helm of the Atp ranking today. Had he taken a different path at the crossroads, however, we would most likely have another ski champion to cheer for now, or a soccer player with many championships on his resume.
Jannik could have been a multitude of things, but he chose to be a tennis player. This was even though he had shown in the past that he had countless talents and that he had as much of a knack for soccer and skiing as we later found out he had for tennis. He never regretted his choice to drop everything and leave for Bordighera with his trusty racket, he says, but he never stopped cultivating, at the same time, his love for other sports.
He runs to ski every time he returns home to the mountains of Trentino Alto Adige. And he doesn’t deny himself a little soccer game when, in the very little free time he has between tournaments, the chance to kick the ball around comes up. He loves sports so much that he would devote himself to them at any time of the day, as is also clearly evident from the video we thought we would submit for your attention.
Extraordinary Jannik Sinner: he doesn’t miss one
The azure is, in these pre-holiday days, in the United Arab Emirates, more precisely in Dubai. With him are athletic trainer Marco Panichi, coaches Simone Vagnozzi and Darren Cahill, and physiotherapist Ulises Badio

With them he had fun, a few hours ago, playing a double game, meaning that, all together, with Cahill refereeing, they tried their hand at a soccer-tennis match. An all-out, all-out fun sport, in which the world No. 1 proved that he handled himself admirably. Not that there was any doubt about it, mind you: whether it’s wrist or heel, Jannik is always and in any case capable of placing outstanding shots, the kind that stun opponents.
The left heel shot, which he shows off in this clip, is simply perfect, like a true champion. Yet another demonstration of his sporting talent and his passion for whatever discipline allows him to compete and give his best.
