The goal this year will surely be to do well at Roland Garros and Wimbledon as well, so as to leave no stone unturned. He will have to deal with opponents who are just as fierce as he is, but if there is one thing he really does not lack that is competitiveness. That, combined with the determination that has always distinguished him, has made him an unparalleled phenomenon.
Carlos Alcaraz will try to get in his way as early as the upcoming Australian Open. The one being played in the land of kangaroos is the only Slam he has yet to win, reasoning that he has all the more reason to beat himself mercilessly on the concrete of Rod Laver Arena. And it will be extremely interesting, at this point, to find out whether the South Tyrolean champion will be able to defend the first fort he won or if, instead, the Iberian will be able to crown this dream.
Volandri dreams big: he knows best
