Serie B, after the match between Cosenza and Salernitana was moved to Sunday Saturday afternoon there are only three matches on the schedule.
Nine draws and one win (Cosenza privateer in Reggio Emilia). What ended Wednesday was a midweek round marked by total balance, if we exclude the Lupi’s success at the Mapei Stadium. All the others drew, including Moreno Longo’s Bari, by now a seasoned “x” sign.
Another nothing for the Pugliese, who have collected five in a row since late September and are unbeaten since late August. Bari on Tuesday recorded its second consecutive 0-0: after Spezia, the challenge with Carrarese also ended in white nets. Poor numbers for an attack that is struggling and has never scored more than 2 goals in the last five matches. At the San Nicola comes Reggiana, which is no better off from this point of view: 9 goals in 11 games for William Viali’s granata, fresh from a worrying defeat in the direct clash with Cosenza (0-1). Slight preference for Longo’s men but, in light of the recent offensive numbers of both, we do not expect an overly eventful match.
Spezia also had to settle for a point in the week, third in the standings (still three lengths behind leader Pisa). Luca D’Angelo’s team split the stakes with Spezia, missing out on overtaking Sassuolo. The Ligurians, however, are the only ones still unbeaten and boast the best defense in the tournament. Against Modena, which has been winless since mid-September, the conditions seem to be in place to get back to winning ways.
The game is also played in Carrara, where an interesting challenge between the newly promoted hosts and Juve Stabia is staged. Carrarese after a non-positive start gives the impression of having adapted to the new category and from the end of September onwards has alternated between a win and a draw. Well especially the defense, which has cashed only one goal in the last five. A balanced match with the Campanians looms.
