In the two evening previews, Roberto D’Aversa’s Empoli has what it takes to at least avoid defeat against a Monza grappling with many unknowns, from Colpani’s sale to Palladino’s farewell (replaced by Nesta, in his first experience in Serie A), while Paulo Fonseca’s Milan, buoyant in the summer friendlies, is favored with Torino at the San Siro.

Saturday is also full of matches in the Premier League: in addition to the balanced evening match between West Ham and Aston Villa, there is great curiosity as well regarding the debuts of Liverpool and Arsenal, two of the main pretenders to the title: we assume a wide victory by Arne Slot’s Reds against Ipswich Town.
In La Liga, the Mestalla match between Valencia and Barcelona promises goals, as do the two Ligue 1 matches between Monaco and newly promoted Saint-Etienne and between Brest and Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille.
