Salernitana-Verona, Serie A: streaming, odds, predictions

by Sabrina

Salernitana-Verona is a match valid for the thirty-seventh day of Serie A and is played on Monday at 6:30 pm: odds, predictions, live TV, streaming.

The goal is inches away. In the first of the two postponements of the thirty-seventh day, Verona has a chance to save itself with a day in advance and celebrate staying in the top category in case of a victory at home of Salernitana, last in the standings and already relegated long ago.

The results accrued over the weekend went in the direction desired by Marco Baroni and his men: third-last Empoli was reeled back in mid-recovery by Udinese in the direct clash and remained stuck at 33 points; if the Scaligeri were to beat the Granata they would rise to 37 points and even in case of defeat in the last round (they will face Inter Milan, champions of Italy) they would no longer be reachable. We are very close, then, to what would be no small feat. After the January market, in which for purely economic reasons the Gialloblù club was forced to sell most of its players, replacing them with many “unknowns,” no one believed in Verona’s salvation. That could have already been in the safe if a week ago Baroni’s team had not been overturned within minutes by Torino, losing at home 2-1. Salernitana, on the other hand, proved to be more alive than ever, drawing 1-1 at home to Juventus – breaking the losing streak that had been going on for four days – and even risking leaving Allianz Stadium with a historic victory.

Salernitana-Verona: latest lineup news

Colantuono will have neither Simy nor Ikwuemesi available: chance in attack for Weissman, supported by Tchaouna and Kastanos. Only bench for Candreva and Maggiore. During the match, the coach could also give space to some of the Primavera boys who are among the summoned players.

On the other side, Baroni rejoins Folorunsho after being disqualified. The Gialloblù coach’s only doubt is in the attack, where Bonazzoli is in the ballot with Pole Swiderski.

The prediction

Verona has not won on this pitch since back in 2005 and in the last four previous matches has lost three times to Salernitana, including the first leg match. Getting on the side of the Scaligeri comes naturally, considering the greater motivation, but watch out for the Granata, who played a good game with Juventus and will do everything they can to put a spoke in the wheels of the Gialloblù, also because of a heartfelt rivalry that has long existed between the two fans. It would not be a surprise if there are a few too many cautions.

The probable lineups of Salernitana-Verona

SALERNITANA (3-4-2-1): Fiorillo; Pierozzi, Fazio, Pirola; Sambia, Coulibaly, Basic, Zanoli; Tchaouna, Kastanos; Weissman.
VERONA (4-2-3-1): Montipò; Centonze, Magnani, Dawidowicz, Cabal; Duda, Serdar; Noslin, Folorunsho, Lazovic; Bonazzoli.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-2
