Napoli-Juventus: video highlights and highlights from Sunday evening’s Serie A big-match on March 3, 2024, with moviola episodes and report cards.
Napoli hosts Allegri’s Juventus at the Maradona. The Azzurri look to confirm after the last round’s goleada against Sassuolo to move closer to a European qualifying position in Serie A, while Juventus are looking for a more convincing game after a period of crisis interrupted with a last-minute home win against Frosinone on Feb. 25.
Calzona can count on a very fit Osimhen and a finally incisive Kvara. In attack, alongside these two, there is also Politano. Allegri continues to rely on individuals, Vlahovic in the lead, despite having to give up many key men through injury: from Rabiot to McKennie.
In defense, with Danilo on the bench, it’s Alex Sandro and Rugani’s turn along with Bremer. In midfield, Alcaraz is seen from the 1′ with Miretti. On the flanks are Cambiaso and Iling Jr. And then there is Chiesa to pair with Vlahovic. In Napoli, Calzona chooses to keep Zielinski still on the bench.
Highlights of the challenge
The Azzurri start on the attack with Juve able to respond on the counterattack. The first 10′ of the match are very lively. The first real chance is for the Bianconeri, right at 10′, with Chiesa stealing the ball and sprinting on the right: his cross reaches Vlahovic who header sends just wide of the post. On 26′, Politano tries directly from a spot kick, but Szczesny responds with confidence.
On the half-hour Juve shows up with Iling-Junior, whose shot is not very precise. Then, two minutes later, Vlahovic tries from a deflected position: the Serb beats Meret with a touch underneath that is printed on the woodwork. At 37′, Kvara set off on his own and got in front of Szczesny: his diagonal shot was neutralized by the Juventus goalkeeper.
Soon after, on Di Lorenzo’s cross, Olivera’s header goes in: the shot goes over Szczesny and but is cleared from the goal by Alex Sandro. At 42′, Kvaratskhelia finds the 1-0 goal: the Georgian unlocks it with a volley from outside the box. On the other side, just a minute later, Vlahovic wastes all alone in the box.
In the second half, the Serbian striker immediately makes himself dangerous on a free kick. In 61′, again Vlahovic frames the goal but does not put Meret in apprehension. Juve equalized in the 81st minute with Chiesa, thanks to a beautiful diagonal shot. In the 86th minute, VAR awards a penalty to Napoli. Osimhen shoots and Juve’s Polish goalkeeper saves. On the rebound, Raspadori pounces and scores. After 90′, Rugani trying to correct into the net a conclusion by Yildiz, alone in front of the goal, but sends it high.

Politano is lively and proactive, but never really dangerous (6). Osimhen, in addition to the missed penalty, also seemed non-functional for the team in other circumstances: too detached from the game (5).
Chiesa puts it in at the first real opportunity, otherwise does not do much (6.5). Bad Nonge: he enters and commits a penalty foul showing immaturity and unreliability: Allegri replaces him after a quarter of an hour (4.5).
