Monza-Frosinone, Serie A: streaming, odds, predictions.

by Lea

Monza-Frosinone is a match of the thirty-seventh day of Serie A and is played on Sunday at 3 p.m.: odds, predictions, live TV, streaming.

Frosinone is still part of that small group of teams that will probably have to suffer until the last day, reckoning with the relegation bogey. The Ciociari, who collapsed in the turnaround after an above-expectation first half of the season, have the same points as third-last Empoli and must compulsorily win their last two remaining matches, against Monza and Udinese.

On paper – but only on paper – the one with the Brianzoli is the easiest one. Monza has been on vacation for weeks now and hasn’t won since mid-March.It seemed at one point that Raffaele Palladino’s men had what it takes to insert themselves in the fight for seventh-eighth place, but in the last two months they have barely scraped together three points out of 21 available, showing physiological signs of relaxation. Last Monday, the Biancorossi surrendered 2-1 to the more motivated Fiorentina, nevertheless keeping the result in the balance until the end. Frosinone, on the other hand, was blown away by Italian champions Inter Milan, reaping its second 5-0 loss of the season after January’s loss to Atalanta. Eusebio Di Francesco’s team has only had one win since January (3-0 ala Salernitana, already relegated) and is the only one yet to win on the road.

Monza-Frosinone: latest lineup news

Palladino is without the injured Ciurria and Valentin Carboni, but Pablo Marì is not at his best either: in case of forfeit, Caldirola is ready to replace him. In the midfield more Bondo than Gabbiadini, chance for Mota on the left.

Usual problems in defense for Di Francesco, orphaned by Oyono and Bonifazi. On the flanks, in the 3-4-2-1, Zortea and Valeri will act, while on the three-quarter Soulé and Reinier will support the only forward Cheddira.

The Prediction

Frosinone will try to take advantage of a Monza lacking concrete goals but, in light of the ciociari’s poor away record, it is somewhat risky to bet on a guest success. More likely, however, is that goals at U-Power Stadium will see at least three in total, as Di Francesco’s Giallazzurri will necessarily have to attack at full throttle, as they cannot be satisfied with a draw.

The probable formations of Monza-Frosinone

MONZA (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Birindelli, Izzo, Pablo Marì, Kyriakopoulos; Pessina, Bondo; Zerbin, Colpani, Mota Carvalho; Djuric.
FROSINONE (3-4-2-1): Cerofolini; Lirola, Romagnoli, Okoli; Zortea, Barrenechea, Brescianini, Valeri; Soulé, Reinier; Cheddira.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 2-2
