Milan-Lecce is a match of the thirty-first day of Serie A and is played on Saturday at 3 p.m.: odds, predictions, live TV, streaming.
It is an AC Milan seemingly without concrete goals – at least as far as the league is concerned – that is about to take on Lecce at the San Siro. The Rossoneri are in a good moment, they have found the continuity that has often been lacking during the season and for the past few weeks, after overtaking Juventus, they have settled in second place, behind the now unreachable Inter.
Stefano Pioli’s team, which is doing all it can to convince the club to consider a renewal, has 65 points, six more than the Bianconeri and 14 fewer than its Nerazzurri cousins. Champions League qualification is virtually in the bag, which is why the Diavolo can turn their attentions to the Europa League double derby with De Rossi’s Roma that is worth a berth in the semifinals. Next Thursday is the first leg (at San Siro) and that is why Pioli might rest someone in the match with the Salentini, who are hunting for salvation points. Six victories in a row have been won by Milan between competitions, the last one in Florence (1-2) with the usual Loftus-Cheek and Leao on the shields, the Giallorossi on the other hand seem to have found themselves again with the arrival of Luca Gotti as certified by the two positive results with Salernitana (0-1) and Roma (0-0). A precious draw the one with the capitolini: with a little more cynicism the three points could have come as well. The red zone, in any case, is still very close: the third-last has only 4 points less.
Milan-Lecce: the latest lineup news
Pioli re-embraces Hernandez, disqualified in Florence, but at the same time he will not be able to count on Loftus-Cheek: the yellow he received at the “Franchi” was fatal for the Englishman. In front of the defense will play Adli, while Reijnders could be moved a few meters further forward in an atypical 4-1-4-1 in which Musah will also find space. In defense there is Thiaw with Tomori but Kjaer is also back available.
On the other side, Gotti opts for a 4-2-3-1, with Blin and Ramadani in the middle and Almqvist and Banda on the high outside. Behind the lone point Krstovic will be Piccoli, who has a slight advantage over Oudin.
The Prediction
Three draws – all finished with a 2-2 result – in the last five confrontations between Milan and Lecce, but to find a success of the Salentini we have to go back to 18 years ago. The Rossoneri in our opinion remain favorites even if distracted by the Europa League challenge with Roma. The Giallorossi, however, since Gotti’s arrival have appeared much more solid – just one goal conceded in two games – and should be able to at least limit the damage in the complicated away match at San Siro. It cannot be ruled out that Lecce will score at least one goal: Milan’s defense since mid-February has kept the goal unbeaten on only two occasions.
