The defeat suffered in France hurt less, considering that Stefano Pioli’s team had won 3-0 in the first leg, but defensive uncertainties (7 goals conceded in a few days) were a constant in both Brianza and the Breton away match. The draw for the round of 16 was benevolent with Milan, paired with Slavia Prague, while Atalanta will find again the fearsome Portuguese Sporting CP, already faced during the group stage.

La Dea, needless to reiterate, is in fine form and should be able to avoid defeat at the San Siro as well, finding at least on one occasion the way of the goal.
