For the young coach there is immediately another tricky match, against a Liverpool side that Spurs have failed to beat even since 2017 and have lost only one game at home this year. By contrast, Tottenham’s last away win was in January, when the Londoners, with Conte on the bench, routed Preston in the FA Cup.

For the fourth consecutive game Liverpool scored at least two goals, a sign of a healthy attack. However, the defense continues to concede and is far from airtight. So there are preconditions for a match of at least three goals total at Anfield Road, as on the other side is a Tottenham that is trying to get out of a difficult moment and that does not shine in the non-possession phase. The Reds should avoid defeat.
