Liverpool-Fulham, Premier League: tv, likely lineups, predictions.

by Martin

Liverpool-Fulham is a rematch of the 28th day of the Premier League and is played Wednesday at 9 p.m.: tv, lineups, predictions.

It will be difficult, not to say impossible, for Liverpool to pull off the feat of breaking into the top four and landing in the Champions League next year. There are too many points that Klopp’s team has dropped this season so, the minimum goal, is to win a Europa League qualification.

The Reds are fifth in the standings and will take the field against Fulham for one of the many recoveries that the Premier has scheduled in this and also in the coming weeks. The troop led by the German coach comes to this match after the resounding victory against Tottenham – with an accompanying stretch during the coach’s jubilation as he had to talk about his physical condition in the press conference, laughing – that allowed them to overtake Spurs in the standings. A “magical” moment, with a situation almost never seen on soccer fields.

In another time, and in another season, we would be talking about a practically decided challenge. Fulham does not seem to have, even this year, the chances to put fear into a team that at the beginning of the year was built to win everything. But even in England this is a very strange league, given what is happening, and so to give the certainty of a Reds victory seems to us exaggerated. Certainly, however, the hosts are very and very much favored against a lineup that now has almost nothing to ask of its season. The guests are safe, calm, and will play with their minds free of any kind of pressure. Of course, Liverpool comes to this match on the strength of four wins in a row and to stop does not seem to have, and rightly so, the slightest intention. Unlike the visiting team, on the other hand, which has lost the last two games of its season.

The Prediction

A match that therefore has a favored team and obviously it is Klopp’s. The Reds are living a good moment of form as perhaps never before this season and they do not want to stop: one must secure, at least, the qualification for the Europa League. So victory for the hosts almost certain, in a challenge that should give at least three goals in total.

The probable lineups of Liverpool-Fulham

  • LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Jota.
  • FULHAM (4-3-3): Leno; Tete, Diop, Adarabioyo, Robinson; Reed, Palhinha, Cairney; Wilson, Vinicius, Solomon.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 3-1
