Lecce-Udinese is a match valid for the thirty-sixth day of Serie A and is played on Monday at 6:30 pm: odds, predictions, live TV, streaming.
Lecce already celebrated salvation on Saturday night without taking the field after Cagliari’s thunderous defeat at San Siro against AC Milan. Just a few points were needed for the Salentini to reach the goal, which was, however, achieved well ahead of schedule. The home match with Udinese will therefore be of value exclusively for the Friulians, who unlike the team coached by former Luca Gotti must win if they want to leave the relegation zone.
The results accrued this weekend have in fact arisen for the Bianconeri, momentarily third-last. The others have all lost (Cagliari, Frosinone, Sassuolo, Empoli) and in case of a victory at the “Via del Mare” they would rise to 33, one more than Ciociari and Tuscans, which coincidentally Udinese will face in the last two days of the championship. To get out of the red zone, however, Fabio Cannavaro’s men can no longer miss the appointment with the three points: the last Friulian success dates back to last March and since then only three draws have come. The consecutive ones with Bologna and Napoli (both stopped at 1-1) were very useful to move the standings but from now on Pereyra and his teammates have only one result at their disposal to avoid what would be a painful relegation. For Lecce, on the other hand, it will be an afternoon of celebration: a salvation targata Gotti, who since taking over from D’Aversa has lost only one game in seven days (at San Siro against AC Milan).
Lecce-Udinese: the latest lineup news
Without the disqualified Piccoli, Gotti could again switch to 4-2-3-1 with Krstovic as the only forward, supported by Almqvist, Oudin and Dorgu, the latter in a runoff with Pierotti. In the median, the Blin-Ramadani pair.
In Udinese, Pereyra will most likely start from the bench: in the three-quarter, Brenner is a candidate for a starting jersey, who will be flanked by Samardzic. On the left, on the other hand, there is a ballot between Kamara and Zemura.
The prediction
It will be Udinese’s turn to do the match in a stadium where Lecce has won 24 of its 37 total points and in which it has lost only 5 out of 17 games. The Friulians will certainly be more motivated and it is quite likely that they will manage to snatch at least a point but we do not feel like going against a very solid Lecce side that with Gotti on the bench has conceded more than one goal only against AC Milan. A draw is not to be ruled out.
