Krejcikova-Rybakina, Wimbledon: schedule, live TV, streaming, prediction

by Mark

Krejcikova-Rybakina is a Wimbledon semifinals match: analysis, statistics, news, schedule, prediction, live TV and streaming.

With the grass of Wimbledon she has a special relationship, Elena Rybakina. And it is no coincidence that she is the only one of the current top five in the world – she is No. 4 – to have lived up to the predictions and be among the “magnificent four” who will compete for the title at Church Road.

The naturalized Russian from Kazakhstan dreams, at this point, of replicating the ride of two years ago. When, somewhat surprisingly, right at the All England Club she won her first Slam, making the long-awaited breakthrough. Since that triumph, Rybakina has failed to bring home a Major but has nevertheless remained at a very high level, putting two Wta 1000s and three Wta 500s in her trophy cabinet, all won on different surfaces. If she is well mentally and especially physically facing her becomes a problem for anyone. And in this edition of Wimbledon the Moscow native seems to be enjoying excellent health.

In five matches played so far she has only dropped one set, against Germany’s Siegemund in the second round. Impeccable, on the other hand, in the last three matches, in which she smoothly filed Wozniacki, Kalinskaya – the Russian was forced to withdraw in the second set due to a physical problem – and Svitolina.

Particularly dominant was the performance she offered in the quarters with the Ukrainian tennis player, downed in exactly one hour with a very clear 6-3 6-2. The last hurdle before the final – she would meet one of Paolini or Vekic – is Czech Barbora Krejcikova, in her first semifinal at Wimbledon. The 2021 Roland Garros champion in the English capital is playing great, and thanks to her variety of strokes, she overturned the odds that saw her as an underdog in the quarterfinal with Latvia’s Ostapenko, folding 6-4 7-6.

The prediction

Krejcikova has prevailed in her two previous matches with Rybakina, both on concrete. The last was staged in October 2022, with the Czech winning in three sets in Ostrava. A sign, evidently, that her varied tennis could create some problems for the Kazakh. Rybakina, however, was impressive in the match with Svitolina: she won 85 percent of points with her first serve, also registering 7 aces. Her power will again be decisive and in two sets she should settle the match.
