Kecmanovic-Berrettini is a match valid for the first round of the Atp Masters 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo: schedule, news, statistics, predictions, live TV and streaming.
Matteo Berrettini in the past few hours had to move in a hurry from Marrakech, Morocco, to Monte Carlo, but he did so with a smile. Indeed, the Italian won his eighth Atp title on Sunday, triumphing in the Moroccan city’s Atp 250 tournament, one of the season’s first on clay.
We finally saw the best version of the capital tennis player again. E he unfortunately, due to the continuous physical problems he had in the last year and a half, seemed to be now a distant memory. However, it only took a few matches for the 2021 Wimbledon finalist to regain confidence with the racket. And above all to regain confidence in his own means: with the triumph in Marrakech Berrettini climbed back up the Atp rankings, re-entering the top 100 (he is currently 84th). The Roman hammer grew from match to match, beating tough opponents such as Shevchenko, Munar, Sonego, Navone and Carballes Baena, relying on his usual powerful serve. But not only that: this time his backhand, his Achilles’ heel, also worked.
Berrettini said his goal is to do well in Rome, his home, but despite the fatigue accumulated in Morocco he wants to try to win points in the Principality, where he also resides.
Nearly 24 hours after his challenge with Carballes, in Monte Carlo – where he benefited from a wild card – he will make his debut against Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic. It is not a great moment for the Belgrade native, as his last victory was last February in Acapulco. Disastrous was Kecmanovic’s debut on clay: in Estoril, Portugal, he went out immediately against Bautista Agut. Only one confrontation with Berrettini, on Indian Wells concrete in 2022: at that time it was the Serb who prevailed in three sets.

Kecmanovic-Berrettini: the prediction
The Berrettini admired last week in Morocco – fatigue aside – should have no problem prevailing over Kecmanovic. The Serb is on the wane and could surrender in two sets.
