Sinner, no one is safe anymore: unexpected confession resembles a full-fledged declaration of war.
Those who think Jannik Sinner is all home and field are wrong. It is there, by necessity, that he spends most of his days. If that were not the case, on the other hand, he would never have made it this far. Nevertheless, he is still a 22-year-old boy. And, as such, from time to time he does the things that any of his peers would do. The only difference being that he can do it a little more rarely than others.
Revealing a small but very interesting backstory was, right after his victory at the Miami Open, one of his two coaches, namely Darren Cahill. The Australian does nothing but sing his praises and tell the world how extraordinary he is; this time, however, he wanted to show everyone that, although he may not look like it, Sinner is not an alien for all intents and purposes. He is only partly so, on the field, but in his everyday life he is a young adult like so many others there are in the world.
“Every now and then he shows his age,” blurted out Cahill, “orphaned” by Simone Vagnozzi on this trip across the ocean, “In Indian Wells he spent days and days sitting on the couch screaming while playing Playstation. I don’t remember what video game he was playing, but he played it for hours. To me he is a very normal 22-year-old boy who sometimes makes mistakes, but smiles as he makes his mistakes and enjoys what life has given him. “
Sinner, that’s his Achilles heel
It’s not exactly news that Sinner has a passion for video games. He has pointed this out several times, reiterating how this is the only diversion he allows himself in a life entirely devoted to the joys and sacrifices of his heart’s sport
Just in Miami we found out, in this regard, that the red fox from San Candido often plays long-distance with another blue champion. He had revealed to Tennis Channel that he and Gigio Donnarumma wage “war” on each other, playing together one of the cult video games of the moment. It is called Call of duty, it is an online war game, and the common passion for it has brought the tennis player and the goalkeeper closer together.
He also plays with someone else from time to time, Playstation addict Jannik Sinner: with his colleague and compatriot Lorenzo Sonego. “If you give us a Play, we play FIFA,” Jannik had confessed, speaking of their relationship, “We also play a lot of cards, burraco, and by now he always wins. But so is there really anyone who, at the moment, is able to counter him?
