Giuntoli-Motta game over: point of no return

Game over Giuntoli-Motta: manager and coach have reached the point of no return. Juventus needs an immediate new direction

Goodbye Scudetto in January, out of the Italian Super Cup after dominating the first half and giving Milan a chance to stay in the game, a Champions League between ups and downs and the Coppa Italia the only real and objective.

Juventus is doing badly, it is there for all to see. The new course wanted by Giuntoli, who entrusted the bench to Thiago Motta, is not bearing the hoped-for fruits. On the contrary: no one expected that at this moment of the season the Bianconeri would be so far from first place and with a huge problem that is that of Vlahovic. Yes, because in all this the Serbian center forward’s contract – due to expire in 2026 – has not been renewed and there is not even a whiff of a possible deal on the horizon. The former Fiorentina player wants the 12million euros a year, Juve on its side would like to reshuffle. Wall up, for now, and feeling of possible farewell in the coming weeks as well.

Game over Giuntoli-Motta, patience over

And, the fans, too, have run out of patience. So many on social media called for Motta’s exoneration. Everything imagined has indeed remained just a dream and nothing more. The game is there, it is true, at least in some parts of the match, but the results are lacking, they are latent, and inside Juventus the only thing that matters is the trophies. Then how they come is of very little interest. Fine palates are in other stadiums, in the Juventus one smiles only if the three points come, even at the end, even struggling. We know the motto: Until the end. That identifies everything.

And Graziano Carugo Campi, pundit and Juventus fan, also had his say on his X profile. That pp the thoughts of many Juventus fans: “Between Giuntoli and Motta the point of no return has been passed.” Yes, that’s right. According to Campo, there is no chance that things can change. There is no possibility of an immediate turnaround. Yet the intentions were all different. But Juve is not Napoli (referring to the manager) or even Bologna (referring to the coach). But they still do not seem to have realized this.
