Friday, May 31 predictions: there’s the cup final in Saudi Arabia between Al Hilal and Al Nassr and women’s European Championship qualifying matches.
The latest chapter in the Saudi soccer season, just days after the end of a league dominated by Al-Hilal, is the last act of the King’s Cup, the most important national cup. Facing each other again will be them, the two teams that finished first and second respectively in the Saudi Pro League: the newly crowned Al-Hilal champions of Koulibaly, Milinkovic Savic and Mitrovic and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
The King of Champions Cup final – that’s the official wording – is in fact yet another seasonal derby between Riyadh’s two main (as well as richest) clubs, with CR7 and co. dreaming of some sort of revenge so they don’t remain title-defeated.
Al-Hilal ended the league undefeated, proving almost “unplayable” for their opponents. Reason why it will be the men of Jorge Jesus who will start slightly favored in a final that, in any case, seems to “interest” Al-Nassr more: the risk, in fact, is to have yet another trophy slip through their fingers, something that Cristiano Ronaldo would not willingly accept. Emotions, in short, should not be lacking in the Jeddah challenge: a match more open than expected – a draw in regulation time cannot be ruled out – and at least three goals in total.
Other match predictions
In the women’s European Championship qualifying matches for the European Women’s Championships, wins are likely for the Netherlands, Spain, Serbia, Wales and Belgium, while the Italian women’s away match with Norway promises goals.
