For Juve it’s all over: deal and goodbye

by Lea

For Juve it’s all over, the Bianconeri are about to say goodbye to one of their market targets: the negotiations have almost broken down.

The cell phone of Cristiano Giuntoli, the technical director of Juventus, is red-hot these days. As it should be at this time of year, since we are in the middle of the soccer market. Compared to a summer ago, when he arrived from Napoli after a very long tug and pull between the Old Lady and President De Laurentiis, the current head of the Juventus sports area is much more active.

While last season the company’s budget was still plastered and therefore the Tuscan manager’s room for maneuver was practically nil – he limited himself to making a couple of signings – this year it is necessary to lay the foundations to “rebuild” Juventus, which has just come back from a tumultuous three-year period in which there were very few satisfactions. Giuntoli’s work, in short, can only begin to be evaluated as of this moment. The decision to bring Thiago Motta to Turin and prematurely end the relationship with Massimiliano Allegri was his and also the shots scored so far all bear his signature. The strengthening campaign, however, is by no means over. Between now and the end of August, more players will surely arrive and someone else will pack their bags. One certain farewell is that of Federico Chiesa, who after the sinking of the renewal negotiations is just waiting to know his next destination.

For Juve it’s all over, PSG is getting closer to Sancho

Giuntoli is therefore on the trail of a replacement, someone who although not possessing the same characteristics as him will go to occupy that area of the field in Motta’s chessboard. Taking into account also the fact that the Signora will most likely also say goodbye to Matias Soulé, who is close to Roma.

Between the names that have been circulating in recent weeks are those of Karim Adeyemi and Jadon Sancho, two who last season wore the same jersey, the yellow-and-yellow one of Borussia Dortmund. The Englishman, however, has already returned to base (Manchester United), since he had only gone to Germany on loan following the break-up with Red Devils coach Erik ten Hag. Juventus likes Sancho and a lot too but, according to the French portal FootMercato, Luis Enrique’s PSG has swooped on the attacking outfielder in recent days, considering him as one of the alternatives to Napoli’s Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, an operation that is not so easy to complete. PSG and Manchester United are, moreover, already in contact for midfielder Manuel Ugarte, who could make the reverse journey from Sancho.
