First blow for Paulo Fonseca: negotiations on the high seas and the Rossoneri’s first real market coup could be blown. The distance at the moment does not seem bridgeable
If it starts like this, the feeling is that it will not be an easy summer for new AC Milan coach Paulo Fonseca. The former Roma man, whom the Rossoneri chose to take Stefano Pioli’s place, was definitely counting on the chance to coach an important striker, who could be one of the protagonists, even in a resounding way at the European Championship, given how the call-up came.
But the parties are distant, and as Ibrahimovic said during the press conference in which the new coach was also announced, there is no charity. Did you understand that we are talking about Zirkzee, the Bologna center forward, who will surely play at another club, but who has agents who demand exaggerated commissions.

And the more time passes the more the chances of seeing the Dutchman, summoned in extremis by the Netherlands for the World Cup, in a Rossoneri shirt diminish. This is not easy either, of course: strong strikers around and who can move, above all, are few. But there are a few, and Milan is trying to figure out where to go from here after having practically struck a deal with Bologna for what is a striker who has made it clear that he is decisive and has ample room for improvement for the next few years as well. Zirkzee is a difference-maker, no doubt about it, and whoever gets him gets a bargain. Of course, at certain figures that are almost free money, a little doubt might really come to everyone.
