Earthquake at Juve, it’s inevitable: contract termination

by Mark

Earthquake at Juve, contract termination with final farewell is around the corner. All that’s missing is the official ruling

The great comeback, dreamed of, wanted, pushed by the fans has not paid off as hoped. And at this point only a resounding reversal of the ruling could rekindle, if anything, hopes. Otherwise there is only one solution: early termination of the contract.

These are hours of waiting at Juventus. They are hours of waiting, above all, for Paul Pogba. The French midfielder, as we know, took four years of disqualification for doping. And in recent days – reveals Gazzetta dello Sport – he attended the hearing held in Lausanne. He explained what happened, tried to make it clear that he had nothing to do with the doping issue. And now as said only the final ruling is awaited.

Juventus-Pogba, here are the scenarios

At the moment Pogba is tied to Juventus with a contract until June 30, 2026. He gets minimum wage, around 2,000 euros net per month, and he cannot train inside the Continassa. When he was back in Turin, the deal had been found on the basis of 8million euros plus 2 more in bonuses. A huge sum, the kind that definitely changes club budgets.

Now the scenario is only one, actually two actually. If Pogba were to have his disqualification lifted then he could immediately return to training and who knows, maybe after a little time, given the technical qualities that objectively cannot be questioned, make himself available to Thiago Motta inside the new Juventus; if, on the other hand, the Tas will confirm the 4-year mauling, then we will go towards contractual termination, the one and only way in this case. Waiting, then. Not least because the professional future of an undisputed champion who has enchanted goes with it. And whom Juventus fans hoped to see again in another way in his second adventure in Turin.
