Como-Fiorentina and Torino-Monza, Serie A: TV, streaming, lineups, predictions

by Martin

Como-Fiorentina and Torino-Monza are two matches of the 13th day of Serie A and are played Sunday at 3 p.m.: live TV, streaming, probable formations, predictions.

Six wins in a row in the league for a Fiorentina side that, dragged by a resounding Moise Kean – 8 goals in 11 games for the former Juventus striker – is experiencing a magical moment. The Viola before the break had also folded Verona (3-1) thanks to a hat-trick by the center forward originally from Vercelli, preserving third place in the standings, -1 from Napoli in the lead and with the same points as Lazio, Inter and Atalanta (25).

Palladino can dream of the Scudetto? It is too early to get off the hook, but this Fiorentina, which has been on a roll since October onwards, wants to raise the bar of ambition and improve, in any case, on the placings of recent seasons. Before the challenge with Inter, the violets are on the scene in Como, against a newly promoted team that despite a good game is struggling to score points. The Larians have won only 2 in the last six days and their coach, Cesc Fabregas, was visibly angry in front of journalists’ microphones after the draw with Genoa (1-1), a match in which Como was caught in mid-recovery by a goal from Vogliacco. In the standings, the Lombardi have 10 points, one more than third-last Lecce, and the second worst defense in the tournament.

The prediction

Potentially entertaining match between two teams that like to attack. Fiorentina will try to exploit the spaces that Como will inevitably concede – the Larians are the only ones not to have collected even a clean sheet – and should be able to avoid defeat in a match of at least one goal on each side.

The likely formations of Como-Fiorentina

COMO (4-3-3): Reina; Goldaniga, Dossena, Kempf, Alberto Moreno; Engelhardt, Da Cunha, Nico Paz; Strefezza, Cutrone, Fadera.
FIORENTINA (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Kayode, Comuzzo, Ranieri, Gosens; Adli, Cataldi; Colpani, Beltran, Bove; Kean.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-1

Toro-Monza, two teams in trouble

At the end of the derby (yet another defeat) with Juventus, Torino will try to restart with the goal of putting behind them two nightmarish months, in which Paolo Vanoli’s men helped disperse all the enthusiasm they had accumulated in the first month of the championship.

The Grenadians have suffered six defeats in the last seven days, a string interrupted only by the success with Como. Vanoli must reckon with an attack that has stopped scoring for a few games: zero goals with Roma, Fiorentina and Juventus, numbers that cannot be explained only by the serious injury suffered by gunner Zapata (out for the rest of the season). It will be a challenge between struggling teams that with Alessandro Nesta’s Monza: the Brianzoli come from three consecutive defeats – Atalanta, Milan and Lazio – and share an offensive drought with Torino, as they last scored a goal about a month ago. Unlike the granata, however, the Biancorossi’s ranking is decidedly more worrying: they are last with Venezia.

The prediction

Torino should return to a positive result in a match of less than three goals total.

TORINO (3-5-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Walukiewicz, Coco, Masina; Pedersen, Vlasic, Linetty, Gineitis, Lazaro; Adams, Sanabria.
