Chelsea-Manchester United, Premier League: line-ups, predictions

by Michael

Chelsea-Manchester United is a match valid for the thirteenth day of the Premier League and is played on Saturday at 18:30: predictions, TV, streaming.

Two English football bigwigs who didn’t start their season well but have managed to make up ground in recent weeks. And now they are respectively fourth and fifth in the table, separated by only one point. Chelsea and Manchester United is undoubtedly the match of the day in the Premier League, which is played a few hours after the midweek round. On Wednesday, the Blues extended their unbeaten streak to seven matches: they have never lost since Graham Potter took the bench. After five consecutive victories, however, Azpilicueta and his team-mates had to be content with a blank draw in the London derby against hostile Brentford, who muzzled the former Brighton coach’s attack at the Community Stadium. Impressive defensive solidity, however, as Chelsea recorded yet another clean sheet at home to the Bees, their fifth in a row.

Di Potter continues to impress with the impact he has had on a group that looked disoriented in their first outings of the season. The Red Devils, however, represent the first test, at least as far as the league is concerned: in the Champions League, in fact, Chelsea have already beaten Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan twice. And United? Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘tantrums’ are somewhat overshadowing the excellent work of Erik ten Hag, who is once again fighting for fourth place despite having inherited a tattered team. In the week Fred and Bruno Fernandes gave the Dutch ex-Ajax coach another important three points in the direct clash with Tottenham, beaten 2-0 at Old Trafford. The Portuguese, who remained on the bench for the entire time against Spurs, left the stadium a few minutes early, blatantly demonstrating his impatience at having become a luxury reserve. And even at Stamford Bridge he is expected to be left out of the starting line-up.

The last four matches between Chelsea and Manchester United have all ended in draws and always low-scoring affairs. Will the tradition continue? In our opinion yes, but this time they should manage to score at least one goal each.
