On one side is one of the big surprises of this Serie B, Catanzaro, now firmly in the playoff zone despite being only a newly promoted team. On the other is the disappointing Bari, which, after coming close to promotion last year, runs the risk of missing the postseason as well. A Pietro Iemmello double, on the other hand, gave Catanzaro its 12th win of the season: the Giallorossi went 2-1 up in Cittadella, taking home their second win in three matches and extending their run of positive results to five. For Vincenzo Vivarini – who was Bari’s coach in the 2019-20 season – and his men it is undoubtedly a good moment: the direct promotion dream (Venice second at +6) is still alive.

Three very important absences at home Catanzaro: Biasci, Scognamillo and Veroli, who are disqualified, will be missing. At the same time Vivarini welcomes back Brighenti, who will recompose the pair in the center of the defense with Antonini. In front wide to the Iemmello-Ambrosino tandem, while in the middle Petriccione is tailed by Pontisso.
Iachini in Calabria will have to do without Diaw, Maita and Kallon. In defense, however, captain Di Cesare is back, who has served his disqualification and is available again. In attack, Menez and Puscas.

For Bari nothing is lost yet, as the playoffs remain only two points away. Iachini’s team is not off to a beaten start, but it will not be easy to contain Catanzaro’s attack, among the few to already surpass 40 goals on the season. At the same time, however, the Giallorossi at home rarely keep their goal inviolate: they have conceded 20 goals, doing worse only than Lecco. Both, in short, should score.
