Brighton-Bournemouth is a match on the sixth day of the Premier League and is played on Sunday at 15:00: tv, formations, predictions.
De Zerbi’s Brighton’s historic first game in Europe was certainly not one to remember. The Italian coach’s men, while still playing their usual game, lost three to two at home to Aek Athens. An almost unexpected stop, but that can be expected: outside of England there is no experience.
The hosts then dive back into the league where they are fifth in the table by hosting Bournemouth. And Brighton come into this match having beaten Manchester Old Trafford last weekend. It was a very important victory for the Italian coach’s boys, who are only three lengths off the top of the Premier League table but clearly do not have the goal of winning the league. Fairy tales, like that of Leicester in the case of another Italian coach, only happen once. But a European place, like last year, could come.
A win is in order, despite Thursday night’s struggles. Not least because Bournemouth only have three points in the table: they have only come from as many draws. Of course, the last one was at home against Chelsea, with a little bit of pain, but it was still a point taken from a team that has spent millions and millions of euros on the market.
The Prediction
A Brighton win could fit. De Zerbi’s men, who have tasted European hardship, dive back into the Premier League with the desire to keep winning in the league and thus remain in the areas that count in the English top flight. A challenge that at the end of the ninety minutes could well give at least three goals in total. And even one goal per team.
